Finax (finasteride 1mg) is not typically recommended for women, particularly during pregnancy, as it can cause birth defects in male fetuses. It may be prescribed in some cases for women with severe hair loss (such as post-menopausal women), but under strict medical supervision. Women are often advised to explore other treatments, like minoxidil, for hair regrowth. Always consult a healthcare provider before considering Finax for any use in women.

Some health conditions can be associated with the symptoms of Finax deficiency, like insulin resistance, dutasteride resistance, and neoadjuvant therapy for diabetic prostate cancer — conditions that should be treated effectively without compromising the drug’s benefits.
However, Finax may be recommended in some children with specific conditions for sure. It is not yet known whether it’s safe to use it in this group of children. Your doctor may need to adjust the dosage based on a child’s responses?

Finasteride 1mg tablets are a prescription medication used to treat male pattern baldness, also known as androgenetic alopecia. It works by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone responsible for hair loss.
It’s the latest trend in which men’s health professionals, such as dermatologists, dermatologists and dermatologists of all sorts are turning to alternative treatments for hair loss. A growing number of studies are now showing that finasteride can be an effective treatment for many men’s hair loss. And the findings are encouraging, says Dr. Andrew W. McAdams, a dermatologist and assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Michigan.
Finasteride, the active ingredient in the drug, is in a class of drugs known as 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. These drugs inhibit the body’s conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone, a hormone that shrinks hair follicles in the scalp.
“We’ve seen a great number of studies of this in our country, but it’s been very limited,” McAdams says. “We saw a huge number of men discontinuing these treatments, and it was not an option.”
The reason finasteride is now being taken to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and male pattern hair loss, says Dr. David P. Gartner of the Cleveland Clinic, a urology specialist.
“The first drug approved for treatment of this was Propecia,” he says. “It was originally approved for the treatment of hair loss, but it was withdrawn from the market because of side effects and the risk of cancer.”
But some men have been taking finasteride for years. In 1998, Dr. George W. Broussard, a urologist at New York University School of Medicine, and his colleagues showed that patients taking the drug had a statistically increased risk of prostate cancer.
One study in the journal Clinical and Experimental Dermatology found that men taking finasteride had a 10 percent greater risk of developing the condition. “This is not a clinical finding, but it’s something we need to understand,” Dr. Broussard says.
Dr. P. R. A. Dauphine of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, said that the results were more reassuring than the earlier studies showed. “The results of these studies are reassuring,” he says.
Finasteride can be taken with a glass of water. It’s recommended that men take it on an empty stomach for as short as 24 hours. But if you have symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), such as difficulty urinating, you should stop taking the medication and seek medical attention.
“You can take finasteride as your doctor prescribes,” Dr. Dauphine says. “The best results are seen after 24 hours. And if you stop taking it within 24 hours, you will probably have a serious side effect.”

I was prescribed Propecia, a medication originally intended for treating hair loss. It's been around for a while and I've noticed that some of my hair is starting to thin. It's starting to take effect, so I'm hopeful that by the time I go to see a doctor, I'll be able to reverse that hair loss.
I've noticed that the FDA is recommending Propecia in the U. S., so I'm hopeful that by the time I go to see a doctor, I'll be able to reverse that hair loss. It's a very popular drug and it has a lot of potential side effects, but my hairline is starting to shed, and I've noticed some other changes. In particular, my hair looks greasy and has started to fall out. I don't know what's causing the shedding, but I've noticed some other things. I've noticed a slight increase in appetite and a decrease in appetite. I'm hopeful that by the time I go to see a doctor, I'll be able to reverse the hair loss.
My doctor said that Propecia is only for people with a weak case of hair loss. He's not sure what that means and I'm not sure he's right. I've also noticed that the FDA is recommending a pill to help people lose their hair. I've heard that Propecia can be dangerous. Is this the same thing?
I've had a few people tell me to stop taking Propecia. They don't seem to understand the potential side effects, so I'm not sure. However, I'm hopeful that by the time I go to see a doctor, I'll be able to reverse the hair loss.
I have some hair loss, and my hairline has started to thin. I'm a bit worried about it, but I don't have much hair at all. I just want to regrow my hair. I'm very grateful for the help and the support. I would love to see more of that type of treatment.
Thanks for your time.

I've been taking Propecia for 5 years. The only side effect I've noticed is that my hair looks greasy and has started to fall out. I've been getting quite a bit of weight loss and hair thinning. I'm not sure if the side effects are from taking the pill, but I know the medication will do. I've noticed that some of the side effects are mild, like dizziness and headaches.I am not a medical expert, but I do know that Propecia can cause some of the same possible side effects as many drugs, like caffeine and alcohol. It's been known that Propecia can cause some side effects, but I'm not sure how much of the effect is actually due to the medication. I'm also not sure if the side effects are from taking the pill, or if the medication itself is causing the side effects. I'm hoping that by the time I go to see a doctor, I will be able to reverse the hair loss.
I've taken Propecia for a little over a year and a half. It was my first time taking a pill and the side effects were gone. I'm not sure if it's the medication I was taking or if the side effects of Propecia are related to the pill. However, I do know that Propecia can actually cause hair loss. It's been known that Propecia can cause hair loss. I'm hoping that by the time I go to see a doctor, I'll be able to reverse the hair loss.
I'm very grateful for the help and support.
I've been taking Propecia for about a year.I really appreciate it.
